Kota Kinabalu - Watch Seek

Spend few days in Kota Kinabalu it is the Capital of Sabah a state in Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Apart from watch shop that sell new from Alba to Zenith, I am more interested in old watches that I could repair or even use as spare parts.

Turn out to be a waste of time, maybe people in Kota Kinabalu hold on to their watches or they just not interested in old watches.

These small watch repair booth are at few places on the sidewalk and they repair watches and sell replicas and some real seikos. Most of the job they do is to replace dead batteries and change or adjust straps.

Now for the real stuff, there is a pawn shop located in Sinusuran area and they have a showcase on the front full of Rolex and Seikos with other expensive watches. A Sea Dweller listed at RM 20000.00 that around US5400.00 is in the showcase.
